BYELAWS


  1. The Club holds exclusive fishing rights at Kingswood Pond, Brede
  2. NO litter is to be left at Kingswood Pond and parking of cars and motor-cycles, camping and the lighting of open fires in the surrounding field is prohibited. Members fishing are responsible for the clearance of litter from swims. Tins (luncheon meat, sweetcorn, etc.) and cans (drink, etc.) must NOT be brought to the pond.
  3. No damage may be caused to the surrounds or contents of the pond and all fish are to be returned thereto. Hooks shall be either barbless or with closed barbs. Keep nets if used must be less than 8 feet in length and landing nets and unhooking mats MUST be used. (The last sentence of this Byelaw was updated at the 2013 AGM to include the words "and unhooking mats.")
  4. No transistor radios may be used in the vicinity of the pond.
  5. The use of cereal ground-baits and of boilies as hook-baits is prohibited.
  6. Members are reminded that they should be in possession of a valid Environment Agency Rod Fishing licence.


NOTE


Brede Angling club was formed in 1991 for the purposes of generally controlling the coarse fishing at Kingswood Pond.


Please respect the water and its surrounds and keep them free from litter.


The club is a Member of the Rother Fishery Association and your attention is drawn to their Rules of CRFAonduct which must be strictly adhered to when visiting their waters.

EVERY EFFORT IS BEING MADE TO CLEAR THE POND OF THE INVASIVE WEED MYROIPHYLLUM AQUATICUM (PARROT FEATHER).

IF YOU SEE ANY, AND CAN SAFELY REMOVE IT. PLEASE DO SO OR ELSE REPORT IT TO ONE OF THE OFFICERS OR COMMITTEE.
